Brentford manager Thomas Frank praises Chelsea as the best team in the Premier League

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has confidently declared that Chelsea are “perhaps the best team in the Premier League at the moment”.

Under the management of Enzo Maresca, who took over from Mauricio Pochettino in June, the Blues have enjoyed a remarkable run, making it six straight wins in all competitions as they prepare to host Frank’s Brentford at Stamford Bridge this Sunday .

Chelsea’s ability to secure four consecutive league wins has propelled them into second place in the Premier League, just four points behind leaders Liverpool.

“They are perhaps even in better form than Liverpool, even though the latter are at the top of the table,” Frank commented, highlighting Chelsea’s impressive form. “They are showing exceptional football and are remarkably well coached. Maresca and his technical team have done an outstanding job so far, making them a formidable opponent.”

The Premier League’s top scorers followed their thrilling 4-3 win over Tottenham with a convincing 3-1 win over Astana in the Europa Conference League last Thursday. Maresca’s side have found the net an impressive 15 times in their last three matches in all competitions.

Brentford currently sit in ninth place following their 4-2 win over Newcastle last weekend. Although the Bees have been difficult to beat at home, having secured just one point from a possible 21 away this season, this is in stark contrast. However, they have a promising record at Stamford Bridge, having triumphed in their three previous Premier League meetings at this ground.

“Chelsea have plenty of threats in attack and have top players throughout their squad. I’m expecting an extremely difficult match,” Frank said. “They are undoubtedly the big favourites, but we remain confident in our ability to compete with anyone, and we truly believe we can take all three points.”
