The Swiss team suffered a second clear defeat on Friday in the Tampere stage of the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour. Colin Muller’s squad was dominated 4-0 by Finland, 24 hours after losing 6-2 to the United States.
As against Team USA, Switzerland gave up during the second period. The Finns thus deceived Swiss goalkeeper Saskia Maurer three times between the 29th and 38th minutes, while the Swiss had held 0-0 until then.
The Swiss selection still has two matches to play in this tournament, both against the Czech Republic (Saturday and Sunday, from 10:30 a.m.). 5th place is indeed decided over two matches.
