The “Channel One Cup” tournament continues in Russia.
Today, no matches were scheduled to make room for a small three-on-three competition played between representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the rest of the world. A bit like we see at the NHL All-Star Game, in the background.
Demidov wore the “C” on his sweater:
The CH hopeful stood out during the mini competition.
His club qualified for the final and Demidov collected a goal (penalty shot) and an assist during the match.
Its highlights can be found right here:
His team won the mini tournament and Demidov played an important role during the “competition”.
He was even named MVP of the mini tournament:
Lately, with SKA, it has been difficult for Demidov.
And the reason is simple: his trainer, Roman Rotenberg, does not use him to his full potential.
But perhaps seeing him win the MVP title during the mini tournament in question will allow him to gain confidence.
Finally, let us remind you that the matches of the “Channel One Cup” tournament will resume tomorrow.
At this level, I can’t wait to see if Rotenberg (who is Russia’s coach) will trust Demidov after seeing him do well today.
To be continued, therefore.

– Oh.
– Sick.
– Well there. I hope…
– Oh yes?
