Winner of Alexander Volkov on Saturday at UFC 310, Ciryl Gane admitted to having injured his toe. This Monday, the French MMA fighter posted an x-ray revealing several fractures.
It's not one but three fractures in the end. Following his disappointing victory over Alexander Volkov at UFC 310, Ciryl Gane revealed that he suffered multiple fractures in his foot following his fight against the Russian.
The “Good Gamin” published photos of an X-ray showing fractures on two other toes of the foot. “It was not only the thumb but also the two metatarsals that failed me at the start of the first round, suffice to say that there was no more foot, but we didn't give up and made the fight with,” he wrote in an Instagram story.
“I’m not happy with my fight”
At the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, after his fight (the first in 15 months), Ciryl Gane appeared very angry. “I put myself in danger by myself,” he declared after wanting to leave the octagon without answering questions. I'm not happy with my fight. “I'm not making excuses, but I hurt my toes in the first few seconds.”
He will now be able to rest and recover before trying to have a fight against Tom Aspinall, interim heavyweight champion, who dreams of facing champion Jon Jones.
