David Hubert has a new assistant. This is Jonathan Alves, until now coach of the Belgian U19s.
The Belgian Union can look for a new U19 coach. Jonathan Alves (42 years old) leaves his position at the federation and becomes David Hubert’s new assistant coach at RSC Anderlecht. This is what the Brussels club announced this Wednesday.
It has been several weeks – since his appointment, in fact – that the RSCA has been looking for an assistant to Hubert to support him. It is therefore the Franco-Portuguese who worked as an assistant in clubs such as Madeira, Penafiel and Arouca who will strengthen the Anderlecht staff.
After a surprising stint in Iran, Alves moved to France where he worked as assistant to Alain Casanova in Lens and Toulouse, then in Switzerland at Lausanne-Sport. He then joined Vincent Euvrard’s staff, first at RWDM, then at Zulte Waregem.
Last August, Jonathan Alves was nominated as coach of the Belgian U19s; there, he worked with some Anderlecht talents such as Nathan De Cat, Barry Kais, Ludovick Wola-Wetshay, Ismael Baouf, Basile Vroninks and Devon De Corte.
This is the first addition to David Hubert’s staff since the dismissal of Brian Riemer and the new head coach of the Mauves taking office.
