This new act left in its wake real surprises which gave hope to some and depressed others.
Nineteen goals were scored this weekend in eight matches. The sixteen competing teams showed a certain offensive inclination. There is therefore no need to remind them that with only four days to go before the end of the first leg, it was essential to end the first phase on positive notes. After a catastrophic series of six unsuccessful matches, Chabab Mohammedia slightly improved their performance by bringing home a draw from the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes (1-1).
The CODM opened the scoring through Anas El Mahraoui in the 33rd minute of the game, before Ahmed Rhailouf equalized for the visitors nine minutes from the end of regulation time of the match. After this draw, the Meknassis are 14th with 14 points while the SCCM remains bottom with 2 units. Raja Casablanca also stopped a crazy series of six games without a single victory by defeating Hassania Agadir with a score of 3 goals to 1.
However, it was the locals who opened the scoring through Kati Katulondi (12th). A few minutes later, the Greens equalized then took the lead thanks to Adam Ennaffati (35th, 90+1) and Younes Najari (56th). The meeting, very open, was marked by numerous opportunities on both sides, offering a pleasant spectacle. Thanks to this victory, Raja moved to eighth place with 17 points while Hassania was demoted to 10th place with 16 points.
It was with the same score that Union Touarga (UTS) corrected Ittihad de Tanger (IRT) at the 18-November stadium in Khemisset. Despite the lack of consistency, UTS manages to place itself in 6th place with 18 points. Clearly determined not to make any concessions and abandon their rank, the Tourouguis showed themselves to be much superior to the haggard Tangerois lost in the field. The locals opened the scoring in the 29th minute from the penalty point thanks to Mohammed Chemlal, before Hamza Elowasti equalized for the visitors in the 33rd minute. In the second half, UTS took the lead by scoring two goals through Mouad Dahak (52nd) and Ilyas Hadad (55th).
The poor performance of the IRT places it today in 11th position with 14 points. The Berrechid municipal stadium was the scene of another meeting which also did not lack goals. AS FAR did not hesitate to beat Jeunesse sportif Soualem (JSS) with a score of 3 goals to 0. The goals of the match were scored by Joel Beya (6th) and Mehdi El Fahli (77th, 88th). Thanks to this success, the military club takes 2nd place with 20 points, while the JSS occupies 12th place with 14 units. AS FAR thus liberates the third place it occupied during the previous day in favor of the Renaissance of Zemamra which won by 1 goal to 0 over Maghreb Fez, which hosted Mohammedia. Amine Azri scored Botola’s quickest goal in the 1st minute. This result forces MAS to give up its runner-up position and share fourth place with Wydad Casablanca (19 pts).
The latter was satisfied with the minimum against Olympic de Safi at the Larbi Zaouli stadium. The only goal of the match was scored by Oussama Zamraoui in the 4th minute. In the other matches, the Difaa of El Jadida slowed down the sporting renaissance of Berkane by forcing it to share the points of the game. The Oranges opened the scoring through Ayoub Khairi (24th), while the Doukkali club equalized thanks to Mustapha Sahd (52nd). With this result, the RSB, leader, brings its assets to 27 points, while the Difaa of El Jadida joins the Union Touarga in sixth place with 18 units.
Finally, Moghreb Tétouan lost (0-2) against FUS Rabat at the Saniet R’mel stadium. Amine Souane scored the visitors’ first goal in the 74th minute of the game. Reda Allaoui doubled the lead in the 90+7th minute. Thanks to this victory, the FUS achieved a giant leap which moved it away from the danger zone. He is currently in 8th place with 16 points. As for the MAT, it stagnates in the penultimate rank with 10 units.
