The women’s handball Euro has been launched this Thursday, November 28. For its 16th edition, the competition is innovating since 24 teams are vying to win the continental title. With nine victories, Norway is the dominant nation in this competition and is the big favorite for this 2024 edition. For its part, the French team is starting a new cycle with Sébastien Gardillou at its head.
This Thursday, November 28, the first matches of the first day were contested in three groups. In Pool A, Hungary and Sweden won against Turkey and North Macedonia. In group C, the France team defeated Poland while Spain won against Portugal. In Group E, the Norwegian title holders assumed their status by winning against Slovenia while Austria made a strong impression against Slovakia. The first day of competition continues this Friday, November 29 with the first matches of groups B, D and F.
