No miracle in Barcelona for Stade Brestois. Undefeated so far in this Champions League, the Bretons, despite being escorted by a cohort of supporters, lost to one of the best European teams of the season, FC Barcelona.
Despite this defeat, Éric Roy’s players remain in the qualified zone, pending the other matches of this 5e Champions League day.
In Paris, it smells scorched… In the City too!
On the Parisian side, the European adventure takes a nasty turn. PSG, with Ousmane Dembélé expelled on the hour mark, is unable to do so on the continental scene. Certainly facing a big name, Bayern Munich, the Parisians shot themselves in the foot on the German goal, with an error from their surprise starting goalkeeper, Matvey Safonov. In difficulty at eleven, the task was too difficult at 10 and Luis Enrique’s players lost again. They clock in at an unflattering 26e place, synonymous with elimination, after almost five days.
Another big one in difficulty, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. While her team led 3-0 on home soil, she saw Feyenoord Rotterdam come back to score in the last ten minutes (3-3). Enough to plunge the Mancunians a little more into doubt.
No surprises on the other lawns. Inter Milan, despite a very complicated match, defeated Red Bull Leipzig. Arsenal enjoyed themselves in Portugal against Sporting (1-5), Atalanta Bergam had fun on the pitch of Young Boys Bern (1-6) while Leverkusen crushed Salzburg (5-0).

In the first part of the evening, AC Milan of Mike Maignan and Théo Hernandez managed to overcome a tricky move on the Slovan Bratislava pitch, while Atlético Madrid crushed Sparta Prague, in the Czech Republic: 0-6 and a goal from Antoine Griezmann. Madrid and Mlian are currently blocking.
