On the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Lyon will host 11 matches of the Olympic football tournaments (women’s and men’s teams), between Wednesday July 24 and Friday August 9, 2024.

Sytral Mobilités is implementing an exceptional system to facilitate travel and ensure the smooth flow of passengers.

Reinforced metros and trams

This system provides for the deployment of special tram and bus shuttle services 2.5 to 3 hours before the start of the competitions: three tram shuttles, direct to the Lyon stadium, departing from Part-Dieu Villette Sud (frequencies between 5 and 8 minutes), Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie (frequencies between 4.30 and 6 minutes), and Meyzieu Les Panettes (frequencies between 3 and 5 minutes), and two bus shuttles, direct to the Lyon stadium, departing from Lyon-Eurexpo (frequencies between 1 and 5 minutes) and Meyzieu Les Panettes (frequencies between 2 and 7 minutes).

Also planned are the reinforcement of regular lines T3, T5, T7, and the entire metro network, and the extension of metro line hours until 1 a.m. on match nights at 9 p.m. (in addition to Fridays and Saturdays), i.e. Thursday July 25, Wednesday July 31 and Monday August 5.

A special title

To access the shuttles, buses and trams, spectators at the Stade de Lyon must have a special “stadium round trip shuttle” ticket sold at a price of €5 for a round trip.
