F1 – Where are the teams with their obligation to run rookies in EL1?

Since 2024, each team has been required to have young drivers participate in at least two Free Practice sessions (one per car) on Friday morning. To be considered a “young driver”, the rookie must not have participated in more than two F1 World Championship races during his career.

At Silverstone, three rookies will take part in Free Practice 1 of the British Grand Prix: Oliver Bearman with Haas, Jack Doohan with Alpine – the only two teams to have already complied with the obligation of two practice sessions – and Franco Colapinto with Williams. The Argentinian will take part in his first official session in Formula 1.
