The entire commune of Angliers will support the couple Jonathan and Émeline Perrier and their two teammates, Saturday July 6 and Sunday July 7, for their first participation in the 24-hour world endurance championship in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

Jonathan Perrier is known for his work as a bodybuilder and airbrusher in Loiré and Émeline for organizing the Motors Arts Days event in the town. They have shared a passion for motorbikes for over ten years. “First of all, speed and we practice endurance,” says the rider, who is rather calm a few days before the start. “We prepare ourselves physically as well as our vision because, in twenty-four hours, our eyes have to get used to different times of the day and night. I still have the screen printing to finish.”

Budget the 25,000 euros

Her husband prepared the motorcycle, a 600 cc Yamaha, with the help of volunteers. The couple left on the 1is July in Spain with “our two teammates and about twenty people who follow us for logistics: an osteopath, mechanics, a photographer…”, not to mention the 28 tires, explains Émeline Perrier. “We rented a house for the whole team. We’re going to get into the mood and get in shape with seven hours of testing on the circuit (4.6 km),” continues the young mother.

The team is hoping for good weather for this competition in which 54 bikers will take part. Let us recall that the Émeline Moto Team 17 association is mobilizing to collect funds for the Un Rêve à vivre association. A check for 1,000 euros was presented to the association on June 15 at the town hall. “We had planned for the association to be present in Barcelona with a child, but we did not reach the budget. It is only postponed,” continues Émeline Perrier.
