Still not reappearing since Roland-Garros, Caroline Garcia lost a place this Monday in the WTA rankings and slipped to 24th place as Wimbledon begins this Monday.

Caroline Garcia, Clara Burel and Varvara Gracheva are losing ground. On the eve of the Wimbledon tournament, which will kick off this Monday in London, only Diane Parry (53rd), who keeps the same place in the hierarchy this Monday, and Océane Dodin, who climbs a notch (849th), do not fall back in the new WTA ranking. Garcia, who has not played since her elimination in the second round at Roland-Garros against Sofia Kenin, slips to 24th position.

The Lyonnaise nevertheless remains the French number 1. Burel, for her part, has played three tournaments on grass (Nottingham, Birmingham and Bad Homburg), but she has not won a single match. This Monday, the Breton loses two places. She will therefore approach Wimbledon as 45th in the world.

Swiatek still alone in the world

Gracheva, who surprised everyone in Paris (defeat in the 8th finals against Mirra Andreeva), is also still at a standstill on grass this season (one match, against Martincova in Birmingham, one defeat). Like Burel, she dropped two places this Monday and is now only 70th.

As for the Top 10, it is unchanged, with Iga Swiatek still untouchable at the top. The Polish player, who is still waiting to break the glass ceiling at Wimbledon, where she has never gone beyond the quarter-final stage in four participations, has a 3,642-point lead on Monday over her runner-up Coco Gauff, semi-finalist in Berlin two weeks ago, and 3,744 over Aryna Sabalenka, who was stopped in the second round in the German capital.
