French champion with Stade Toulousain last Friday, Baptiste Germain will wear the Aviron Bayonnais jersey next season. The scrum-half or fly-half has signed up until 2027.

On June 28, it was written in the columns of Midi Olympique that the transfer of Baptiste Germain to Bayonne was on track. It is now official.

While he still had one year left on his contract with the Red and Blacks, Germain will leave the Ville Rose this summer to join Aviron Bayonnais. This Monday, the Basque club made the signing of the 23-year-old scrum-half or fly-half official. The latter, who played for UBB and Biarritz Olympique during the 2022-2023 season, has signed with Aviron until 2027. In the Basque Country, the very recent French champion will numerically replace Gela Aprasidze in the blue and white squad. The Georgian has signed with Usap.

With Toulouse, Baptiste Germain won two Top 14s but also two Champions Cups. He played 19 matches, including 8 as a starter.

On the Ernest-Wallon side, the name of Naoto Saito (26 years old) is circulating vehemently in the section of potential arrivals. The Japanese international scrum half could well wear the Haut-Garonne tunic next year.
