This match, scheduled at the Grand Stade d’Agadir at 5:00 p.m., will take place against the backdrop of a revenge match between the Botola champion, Raja, and its runner-up, AS FAR, two big names in Moroccan football, who fought for the championship title until the last day, in a thrilling duel that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats until the end.

If the Casablanca club will be in search of a Coupe-Botola double to end a stratospheric season in apotheosis, the Military will be keen to redeem themselves after the disappointment in the championship which saw them let go of a title which held their arms in the last two days.

The “Vert et Blanc”, still undefeated this season, will approach the Throne Cup final with high morale, having won the national championship at the end of an exceptional journey punctuated by 21 victories, 0 defeats and 9 matches null.

Building on this confidence, Raja wants to continue its winning momentum and expand its record with a new trophy. The confidence acquired throughout the season allowed the protégés of German coach Josef Zinnbauer to make a comeback in the semi-final of the Coupe du Trône against Mouloudia d’Oujda after being led 3-2. The Casablancais ended up winning by a score of 4 goals to 3 after extra time, showing a winning mindset and impeccable determination.

Facing AS FAR, Raja, the reigning vice-champion after its defeat last season against RS Berkane 1-0 in the final, is eyeing a 9th crowned in the Throne Cup, after those won in 1974, 1977, 1982, 1996, 2002, 2005, 2012 and 2017.

If the “Green and White” win the title, they will rise to second place among the most successful clubs in the Coupe du Trône alongside their rival Wydad, and behind their opponent in the final, AS FAR (12 titles).

The military club, in search of a 13th The record-breaking Coupe du Trône will, for its part, play for all it can to win a new title in this competition and chase away the spectre of a blank season.

AS FAR, who reached the final after beating Maghreb Fez 2-0, hopes to take revenge against Raja who deprived them of the privilege of retaining their Botola title, at the end of a brilliant run with 22 wins, 5 draws, and only three defeats.
