Facing AS FAR, Raja, the reigning vice-champion after its defeat last season against RS Berkane 1-0 in the final, is eyeing a 9th crowned in the Throne Cup, after those won in 1974, 1977, 1982, 1996, 2002, 2005, 2012 and 2017.
If the “Green and White” win the title, they will rise to second place among the most successful clubs in the Coupe du Trône alongside their rival Wydad, and behind their opponent in the final, AS FAR (12 titles).
The military club, in search of a 13th The record-breaking Coupe du Trône will, for its part, play for all it can to win a new title in this competition and chase away the spectre of a blank season.
AS FAR, who reached the final after beating Maghreb Fez 2-0, hopes to take revenge against Raja who deprived them of the privilege of retaining their Botola title, at the end of a brilliant run with 22 wins, 5 draws, and only three defeats.
The military club, which will play its 18th final in the Coupe du Trône, won the coronation in 1959, 1971, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2020, and lost five finals against Maghreb Fez (1988), Olympique Casablanca (1990), Raja Casablanca (1996, 2012) and Wydad Casablanca (1998).
