Volleyball | The unforgivable treachery of the French team

Volleyball only confirms the implacable logic of team sports; do everything so that we close the door before the Olympic Games.

The backlash is terrible. Only 24 hours after the first tricolor affront perpetrated against our federation, the French Volleyball team decides (already) to add another layer.

Volleyball inflicts a fourth historic slap on our federation

We were entitled to a tie-break victory against Italy in the quarter-finals, then against Poland at home in the semi-finals. Two snubs that are difficult to swallow. So in the final, we hoped for preferential treatment from our Blues. It’s good to dream of the FFL. Faced with Japan, the second nation in the world, the French had to make amends. But from the first round, we quickly understand that the mass is said: 1-0, then 2-1, 3-1 and 4-1. France won in the final (25-23, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23) and once again committed the irreparable. All this just one month before the Olympics.

Beating the world numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the space of three days is too much for us.

France has thus won the Nations League for the fourth time in its history, after 2015, 2017 and 2022. Needless to say, the date is set for the Arena Paris Sud on July 27. And the French volleyball players had better not bring us another gold medal.
