According to the results announced during the closing ceremony of this event, following the deliberations of the organizing scientific committee, the national team won a gold medal, a silver medal and two bronze medals, distributed between the members of the team, said the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in a press release.
Thus, student Yassine Kamouh from the Casablanca-Settat region won the gold medal (38 points out of 40), Sami Moussaoui from the Oriental region received the silver medal (32/40), while that Lina Chaker and Omar Hamidi from the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region received the bronze medals, with 14 and 13 points respectively 40 out of 40, specifies the press release.
On this occasion, the ministry and its partners congratulated the students who honored Morocco in this scientific competition, as well as the supervisors of the central committee of the National Mathematics Olympiad who took care to prepare these students for this important meeting, while thanking the families for their support and accompaniment.
This edition saw the participation of 22 Arab countries, each of which was represented by a team of four candidates who passed a single 4 and a half hour test, the press release concludes.
