For the last two international matches of the year against Germany and England, the coach of the Swiss women’s team Pia Sundhage is counting largely on the same personnel as during the last gathering.
23 of the 25 players called up were already present during the matches against Australia (1-1) and France (2-1) in October. Two players, Seraina Piubel (West Ham) and Alena Bienz (Cologne), are returning to the national team.
Pia Sundhage is also giving up the services of Alayah Pilgrim (AS Roma) and Riola
As a goalkeeper, Sundhage has also decided to designate, at least initially, a number 1. Elvira Herzog will thus keep the Swiss cage against Germany on Friday November 29 at the Letzigrund in Zurich and against England , European champion, on Tuesday December 3 in Sheffield.
