Ruben Amorim, the new Manchester United coach, has named his priority for the winter transfer window: a world-class striker.
At the top of the list is Victor Osimhen, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker, who is shining this season with 6 goals in 6 games for Galatasaray, where he is on loan from Naples. The Portuguese manager is looking to strengthen the Red Devils’ attack by signing one of Serie A’s top scorers.
To achieve this objective, United would be ready to offer an attractive transaction. In addition to a sum of 30 million euros, the Mancunian club would offer Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, recruited this summer but in difficulty at Old Trafford, where he is struggling to establish himself. The 23-year-old young player, with only 1 goal in 17 games this season, could therefore be included in the offer to try to convince Naples to sell their star striker.
Napoli, although under contract with Osimhen until 2026, are said to be open to discussions. Although the Nigeria international has a €75 million release clause, Manchester United’s offer could be enough to recall Osimhen from his loan spell in Turkey and complete his move to the Premier League. A coup for Amorim and its long-term project.
