Limoges CSP has reached a financial agreement with the Polish club Dabrowa Gornicza to release its American leader Souley Boum (1.90, 25 years old) who has signed up until the end of the season plus an option with the club limougeaud.
If on paper, this may seem like a new bet, Crawford Palmer says he is convinced of his choice in a press release released this Monday evening by the CSP: “He is the type of player that we would have liked to recruit from this summer. Since his debut in Poland, he has proven that he can adapt brilliantly to the European game, but also to life abroad. If we agreed to pay a buyout, it is because we are convinced that it is the centerpiece that we needed. »
Former CSP player, Mathieu Wojciechowski also received good feedback from his acquaintances in Poland: “I was described as a fairly open and smiling guy. He's a real scoring leader, a combo. He was the key player on his team. I was also told that he was able to defend hard when he wanted to. The club assistant was very positive about him. »
Good feedback from Mathieu Wojciechowski
The main person concerned was sober like most players when commenting on their signing for a new club: “I am very enthusiastic about the idea of joining Limoges CSP. I am grateful for the opportunity granted to me and I look forward to discovering the French championship. »
And to show that, if not floating like in Poland (more than 24 points on average), he has all the qualities to take a further step in his career as Crawford Palmer is convinced: “His talent, his playing intelligence and his positive state of mind are undeniable assets. He knows how to share the ball and bring a creative dimension. His presence will offer the technical staff new strategic options and will force our opponents to make defensive choices. » A boon for Jean-Marc Dupraz and the Limougeauds who remain on two consecutive losses in the championship: “I expect him to be in a role of playmaker by making his teammates better while providing his ability to score when the team needs it. » If possible from the next match against La Rochelle at Beaublanc, an already crucial meeting.
