Since 2017, Major Pascal Lelasseux has commanded the community of Oudon Riaillé brigades. He is highly appreciated by his colleagues, elected officials and various state services. His former colleague, Marjorie Niquier, recalled his very rich journey in front of a large audience, including the new senator Maurice Perrion, who came to celebrate the event.

Pascal Lelasseux, holder of a university degree in psychology, joined the gendarmerie training center in 1990, then he was assigned to different posts: La Ferté-Bernard, , Belle-Isle-en-Mer. He was responsible for investigating the Erika oil spill in 1999. In 2000, he was seconded to the French embassy in Dakar. After returning to , to Guilvinec, to Guingamp, he was appointed commander of the Cocoa Brigade in Guyana, responsible for the fight against illegal gold panning in the Amazon forest.

The soldier continued his career in in 2013 as commander of the Entre-Deux brigade. Finally, he will command a peloton during the recent Olympic Games. During this eloquent journey, Pascal Lelasseux received numerous awards: defense gold medal, vintage military medal, letters of congratulations. He also has seven injuries while on duty.

In his speech, the major recalled: “Service in the gendarmerie is an exciting, varied, demanding, but also dangerous profession.” With great emotion, Pascal Lelasseux sent numerous thanks: to his family, his current or former colleagues: “You trained me, accompanied me, supported me and you helped make me the person I am today.” He adds: “Despite difficult times, I will only keep the good memories.”

With his wife, he has already organized his new life, a position as security manager, entry into the gendarmerie reserve, without forgetting to enjoy his passions which are caving and sea fishing. waiting for his successor, it is Chief Warrant Officer Papin who will take over the interim role of the brigade.
