A player from the section of excellence in blue – NORMANDY LEAGUE

After one season of existence, the Section of Women’s Sports Excellence is already represented at national gatherings.

Alyssa Charlier in Clairefontaine

From October 30 to November 1, Alyssa Charlier, player of the section, was invited to a gathering within the U15 F development group.

This selection aims to select players with a view to joining the U16F national team next season.

During this first training course, 40 players were called to the National Center in Clairefontaine.

At the end of this first experience, Alyssa was even selected for a new training course, this time with 30 players, which will take place from November 22 to 24.

The interview

We met Alyssa to share with us her feelings about these experiences at the heart of French football.

Hello Alyssa, can you tell us about your history with football?

“I started playing football at the age of 4, at the FAC Alizay club (27), then I moved to the QRM club in U12. I play as a central midfielder.

I have also been part of the Section of Excellence since last season. »

Can you tell us about your internship at Clairefontaine?

“We arrived on Wednesday, during these 3 days we did 2 training sessions as well as 2 oppositions. We ate together at lunchtime and in the evening, there was a very good atmosphere between the girls!

During training, I was able to notice a great intensity, we feel motivated girls with the desire to do well.”

And what is Clairefontaine like?

“It was the first time I went to Clairefontaine, it’s an impressive place. We often hear about it, but being there is a great source of pride. »

What are your goals now?

“This internship is just the beginning. It made me want to continue working so as not to leave this group, and to be selected for the gathering of 20 players in June. »

The rest of the program

At the end of April, a second training course will take place with still 30 players. On the occasion of this gathering, a match against Switzerland will be organized.
In June, the group will increase to 20 players and a new match will be played, against an as yet unknown opponent.
