Bad news for Anderlecht regarding Samuel Edozie

Last summer, Anderlecht recruited many players. And for the moment, we can say that most of these players are providing good service.

After losing many important players last summer (Schmeichel, Delaney and Debast), the Brussels club decided to strike hard on the transfer market. The RSCA managed to sign Jan-Carlo Simic, a great talent from AC Milan, or to obtain the loan of Leander Dendoncker.

But for the moment, the one who impresses the most is Samuel Edozie. Since his arrival at the Mauves, the 21-year-old English winger has shown great things and is gradually becoming one of the darlings of Lotto Park. But unfortunately for Anderlecht fans, Edozie will not last long in Anderlecht.

Russell Martin, the Southampton manager, recently said that Samuel Edozie was still part of his and the club’s plans: “He is an important player for us. We have already sent several people to see him in action. We “We’re in constant contact with him. He’s doing well at Anderlecht and that’s a good thing for him. I haven’t had time to come see him yet, but it will happen soon.” As a reminder, Edozie was loaned without purchase option to the RSCA.

Since the start of the season, the London native has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 13 appearances.
