Bev Priestman, suspended from her position as Canada’s coach at the Olympics due to a espionage scandal, will not return to the helm of the national team, Canada Soccer, the Canadian Football Federation, announced on Tuesday.
“The three people will not come back”
Priestman and two of his deputies were suspended for a year by FIFA at the end of July for organizing drone spying on the training of the New Zealand team, their future opponents.
A report published Tuesday by Canada Soccer considers that the coach and her assistant Jasmine Mander “organized, approved and endorsed the acts” from other assistant coach Joey Lombardi, who was piloting the drone.
