The rugby black streak continues. According to our information, Clermont third row Fritz Lee is the target of a complaint filed by the waitress of a bar for violence, for facts dating back to the evening of October 19, after his club's victory against Vannes.
It is a historic name from the Top 14 which is found in the “miscellaneous facts” section: Fritz Lee, emblematic third line of Clermont whose colors he has worn for more than 10 years (2013), is the target of a complaint for committed violence on a waitress in a Clermont bar. The events allegedly took place on the night of Saturday October 19 to Sunday October 20. That evening, the Clermontois had just beaten Vannes (55-33) on the occasion of the 7e Top 14 day and several players decided to celebrate the victory with an outing in town, organized outside the club. This is where the evening got out of hand and Fritz Lee, among the players out that evening, visibly in an advanced state of intoxication, attacked a waitress. Which would have filed a complaint in the hours that followed.
Quickly informed of the situation, the ASM club initially contacted the complainant and the managers of the bar where the events took place. Subsequently, the club would have already summoned the players present that evening to inform them of internal sanctions.
The club deplores the facts which do not correspond in any way with its values
Contacted on this subject, the management of the Auvergne club confirmed via a press release that it sent to us: “ASM Clermont Auvergne is able to confirmhe excesses of certain players during a private party organized a few weeks ago. The club deplores the facts which in no way correspond with its values. Faced with such actions, the club in no way condones the behavior of certain of its employees, whose exemplary behavior on and off the field is a fundamental and non-negotiable notion. So, a player has been sanctioned. The club will henceforth refrain from any comments or reactions regarding these facts.”
An ASM senior player for a decade, Fritz Lee was responsible for an excellent start to the season. “I want to be an example for every foreigner who comes to Clermont.” clamahe said last September in our columns, at the dawn of what could be the lastnfirst season of his career. Lee was among the players most used by Christophe Urios sinces the start of the season (8 matches, 8 starts).
