1B – YOUTH In a good dynamic since the victory in the derby, the RSCA Futures went this Sunday to the field of Seraing, a competitor in the red zone, to extend their series of invincibility and above all to achieve a victory which could give them a little air at the bottom of the ranking. Thanks to a very good Tajaouart (in photo), they twice touched this important success with their fingertips but were caught twice and, outnumbered, conceded a draw 2-2.
Already deprived of Lapage and Degreef for several weeks, Jelle Coen must still do without Maamar and Angulo who are also requisitioned by David Hubert for the needs of the first team. Despite these defections, the coach maintains his system with a 3 central defense which has given him satisfaction in recent weeks and which above all has seen his team undefeated in the last 3 meetings. Starting at left back, Maamar was replaced by Barry. In attack, the coach chose to replace Angulo by putting weight with Ure next to Goto.
The start of the match was entirely to the advantage of the young purples, who were the most dangerous thanks to Goto on 3 occasions. He first fired at the goalkeeper’s hard fists, Ure followed but shot over. After a good collective defense outing, Ure launched deep into the Japanese attacker whose shot was deflected off the tip of the glove by the goalkeeper. A cross from Barry also found the head of Goto who failed to hit the target.
The RSCA Futures were rewarded for their good start with a goal scored by Ure. Placed on the right flank, Tajaourt erased his opponent with a beautiful technical gesture before sending a tense cross which Goto extended with a backheel towards the Scottish striker who dived at the far post to open the scoring. Shortly after, a shot from De Cat was extended by Ure just wide of the goal.
Not at all worried, the young purples can be frustrated at the end of the first half since they conceded the equalizer on the only opponent possibility in the 34th minute of play. On a harmless cross, the goalkeeper Schlieck released the ball in the feet of Fall who did not ask for his rest to put the ball in the empty goal. Another error resulting from a poor restart in stoppage time almost played a bad trick on them once again.
Seraing was more insistent at the start of the second half and took advantage of the power of his attacker Fall to make goalkeeper Schlieck tremble twice. In the 47th minute, Fall used his power to counter a restart from Dom and then crossed his body to get in front of the goalkeeper and cannon on the board. The powerful striker then put in a diving header which went just wide of the post. The Seresian Solheid also put a header just above the goal.
Less present, Anderlecht put its nose in the window of Tajaourt, the most active player on the field, but the Seraing goalkeeper dove at his feet. It was only a postponement for the small midfielder who received a low cross from Vroninks, well launched by Robberechts, to restore the lead to his colors.
The joy of the young mauves was short-lived because in the process a penalty was whistled for a foul by Dom on Fall which once again made his physique speak for itself. Double sanction because the author of the foul was excluded by taking a second yellow card and by the conversion of the penalty which put the two teams back on an equal footing.
Outnumbered, Anderlecht subsequently contented itself with defending its domain. With a lot of bravery and will, the kids from Neerpede were able to repel all the attacks from the locals and preserved the point of draw which gives them hopes of maintaining.
