Two years after his return to Wydad from Casablanca, winger Mohamed Ounajem officially leaves the Casablanca club.

WAC number 11, Mohamed Ounajem, announced this Sunday June 16 via his official Instagram account his departure from Wydad Casablanca.

Ounajem first expressed his deep gratitude to Wydad, stressing that he will never be able to forget the positive impact of the team on his professional career. He also thanked the fans for their constant love and support, despite the challenges, and apologized for the past season. Mohamed Ounajem also expressed his gratitude to the presidents, coaches and all those who work behind the scenes for their dedication and kindness.

“The team that had and always will have a special place in my heart, and to forget would be ungrateful. First of all, I lack the words to express my gratitude, just as my fingers are incapable of writing what I feel deeply, because what my heart contains is far too big to be summarized in a few lines, especially when it is “It’s about talking about a team the size of Wydad,” he said before adding: “with this team, I experienced the best days of my footballing career. We were a real family, sharing the good times and the bad. The word “thank you” is insufficient to do justice to each member of the Reds supporters.”

Mohamed Ounajem also thanked all the components of the club: “thank you for your love, your support and your constant encouragement, despite all the circumstances and pressures. I apologize for this season… I would also like to sincerely thank all the presidents, each by name, for the good treatment during the entire period that I spent with the team… A message of love and gratitude to all the coaches who succeeded one another to coach the team. Thank you for your enormous efforts and your patience with us.

“I have not forgotten the shadow soldiers and all those who watch, directly or indirectly, for the well-being of the players. J. Finally, I wish you from the bottom of my heart a successful career full of titles, God willing, for the Wydad team. Ultimately and forever Dima Wydad,” he concluded.

Furthermore, Mohamed Ounajem played 232 matches in the Reds jersey, scoring 22 goals and providing 64 assists in all competitions (Botola Pro Inwi, Coupe du Trône, Champions League, CAF Super Cup and African Football League).

Ounajem also won three Moroccan championships, a Champions League and a CAF Super Cup with the WAC.
