Football: Dan Ndoye taken out on a stretcher after a violent shock to his shin

Bad news for the Swiss team. Summoned for the next Nati gathering for the Nations League matches against Serbia on Friday, then Spain on Monday, November 18, Dan Ndoye (24) should not be able to attend. The Vaudois winger from Bologna was injured in the 23rd minute during the Serie A match against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico this Sunday afternoon, and it seems serious.

In the 20th minute, while trying to cut out a cross from his teammate Riccardo Orsolini, Ndoye violently hit the post with his left shin. The shock was so strong that he left the field on a stretcher, his face marked by sadness.

At this stage, no details have been provided regarding the exact nature of his injury, nor his period of unavailability. However, a long absence is feared. It already seems certain that he will miss the national team’s last two matches of the year.

The former Lausanne-Sport player has participated in twelve meetings with Bologna since the start of the season (championship and Champions League combined), including eleven as a starter, providing two assists. Furthermore, he took part in the selection’s last two outings, in October (defeat in Serbia followed by a draw against Denmark).
