The Montreal Canadiens forward was seen for the first time since his collision with Cédric Paré while skating on the ice at the CN Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
Absent since the middle of the preseason schedule due to a sprained left knee suffered during a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Laine still has some time before being back in the thick of action .

The CH had stated that he would be absent for a period of two to three months when he announced his unavailability on October 1.
Laine was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets by the Habs during the most recent summer period in exchange for defenseman Jordan Harris and a 2026 second-round pick.
Last year, he had six goals and three assists for nine points in 18 games, in a season shortened mainly due to injuries.
