Alvaro Morata, AC Milan striker and captain of the Spanish team, was rushed to hospital on Thursday after suffering a head injury during training today.
The striker, now doubtful for the next Serie A match against Cagliari and potentially absent from the national team for the next international break, underwent instrumental tests at Legnano hospital, in Milan (northern Italy), which ruled out any serious injury.
The club has expressed some confidence for now. “During the morning session (on Thursday), Morata suffered significant head trauma during a collision during a confrontation. He was quickly taken to hospital, where the MRI came back negative. Alvaro is better, but he will remain under observation in the hospital, as protocol requires in similar cases,” explains AC Milan in its message
At this stage, it seems unlikely that the Madrid-born player, who scored one of the goals in AC Milan’s significant 1-3 victory over Real Madrid last Tuesday in the Champions League, will be available for the Italian championship match which will take place in just two days.
This Friday, Luis de la Fuente will announce the list of players who will play in the Nations League against Denmark, Friday November 15, and Switzerland, Monday November 18, for which the Milan player is now seriously uncertain.
