The Senegal women’s sevens Rugby team set foot on Ghanaian soil this Friday in preparation for the African Rugby Cup of Nations (CAN) which starts this Saturday, November 9.
After leaving Senegal this Thursday around 4 p.m., the Senegal women’s rugby team successfully arrived in Ghana, where it will participate in the Africa Women’s Sevens from November 9 to 10, 2024. Following Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast (opponents of the Lionesses), the daughters of El Hadji Omar Cissé are currently in Accra before starting their campaign this Saturday morning.
Fatoumata Bâ’s partners will first play against Zambia at 9:00 a.m. GMT, then against the Ugandans at 12:06 p.m. and the third and final group match will be against Ivory Coast at 2:50 p.m. GMT. The Lionesses must be at least in the first two or be ranked best third to qualify for the quarter-finals which will take place on Sunday 10, in addition to the semi-finals and the final.
