The diagnosis did not take long: rupture of the Achilles tendon for Usain Bolt. Retired since 2017, the eight-time Olympic champion was injured on Sunday June 9 during a charity football tournament in London to raise funds for Unicef. During the game, the 37-year-old Jamaican was stopped in his tracks before being evacuated on a stretcher.
“It is done, but I am a warrior”commented the world record holder for the 100 m (9”58) and 200 m (19”19) on X (ex-Twitter).
