Have you ever bet? You are not a racetrack or betting specialist? Don’t panic, here are some keys to help you with your predictions.

1. What is Quinté+?

Au Quinté+the objective is to find the first five horses in the race. This is the most successful bet because it offers the biggest winnings. It involves a weekly piggy bank, to be shared between all the bettors who have found the first five horses in exact order. It is offered, in principle, on Sunday, the day of the most prestigious meetings. THE Quinté+ takes place once a day on the most beautiful race of the day. There we find the best horses and incredible suspense.

2. What do the ratings mean?

They represent the horse’s chances of victory and are calculated based on the total weight of the stakes. The odds allow you to know the most played horses. A favorite horse will have a low rating (eg: 1.5). By betting on him, your chances of winning are high but you risk winning little. Conversely, a horse that is little played will have high odds (e.g.: 35). He is an outsider and, by betting on him, you have less chance of winning but he will pay you big in case of victory.

3. How to play?

You have three different ways to choose your horses:

Some punters play their numbers at random, sometimes according to the name or color of the horse. The smartest trust the system spOt. With this clever technique, there is no need to know anything about racing. Horses are selected automatically based on bets made by other players. It is possible to leave spOt choose all the horses in the bet or only ask for a part of them as a complement in a bet prepared yourself.

The player chooses to bet on favorite horses. He can include some outsiders in his bets to potentially increase his winnings. The basis of this method is the rating. All that remains is to decide whether we want to take risks or play it safe.

Some players are specialists who know the world of racing very well. They are interested in horses, jockeys and trainers. They make their bets based on a multitude of criteria. They spend time at racetracks and study the race to make their predictions. A racer, a fine strategist, weighs risk and gain. These specialist issues make an important contribution to the selections spOt and vary the odds.

If you want even more information and access to advice for your predictions, go to the PMU website.

4. Race information

R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 correspond to the races of the day. We call them “meetings”, which is why we use the “R”

The number under the R indicates the number of races per meeting taking place that day.
Example : meeting 1 (R1), there are 8 races scheduled for the day.
The Quinté+ race is the most prestigious, it takes place once a day at 1:45 p.m., generally in R1.

C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C8 provide information on the day’s races chronologically. For each meeting, there can be up to 8 races per day.

  • Horse information and odds

The color of the Kazakh (orange) helps identify the owner of the horse.

In red you have the name of the horse

The number (in brown) indicates the horse’s rating at the time you are on the site. The higher it is, the less interesting it is in terms of betting. Unlike a base odds is a good sign and means that the horse is favorite but the gain is lower.

The identifiers (A) or (B) indicate that two or more horses belong to the same stable.

Boxed in pink, you find the name of the jockey.

The music refers to the horse’s ranking in previous races (D = disqualified). The results are in descending order: from the most recent to the oldest races.

Now that you have all the keys in hand, make your predictions and good luck!
