Manchester City would be very interested in one of the current darlings of FC Barcelona.
A cycle seems to end for Manchester City. Since the arrival of Pep Guardiola in 2016,The citizen club has become one of the best clubs in England, but also in the world. The future Pique at Manchester City?
Pau Cubarsi is one of the revelations of last season. Although he played his first professional match in January 2024, the young Spaniard quickly established himself as a starter. Aged 17, just like Barça’s other phenomenon, Lamine Yamal, he impresses with his precocity. This season, alongside Inigo Martinez, he forms a remarkable defensive duo, notably thanks to their knowledge of the game.
Under contract until 2027, Pau Cubarsi is also considered the future of FC Barcelona. Yet, Manchester City could well try their luck by offering around 70 million euros to the Catalans. The club has, in fact, been experiencing a complicated financial situation for several seasons, and such an offer could greatly help to get back on a good footing. However, Cubarsi is very important for Hansi Flick’s fast transition game. A departure of the young prodigy could therefore prove complicated.
