Already modified in recent years with this objective, the Obstacle program will undergo new changes in 2025, with the aim of “consistency with climatic and ecological developments.” Monday morning, France Galop detailed these various modifications via a press release. The program for the Auteuil racecourse will notably be brought forward. The reopening of the latter will take place on Saturday February 15, 2025, the day of the Prix Robert de Clermont-Tonnerre (Gr. III), first preparatory to the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (Gr. I). This program will end on Saturday May 31, 2025, compared to June 25 in 2024. In addition, two meetings in June will be moved to the Dieppe and Clairefontaine racecourses. France Galop also announced changes concerning the regional Grand Steeple-Chase, whose racing conditions have been revised, and specified that “other measures concerning regional PMH meetings taking place during the summer period are being finalized for implementation in 2026, in consultation with the Presidents of the racecourses concerned and the Presidents of the Regional Councils and Committees.”
