Goulmima (province of Errachidia) – Participants in the 13th edition of the Green March Rally distributed donations on Saturday in Goulmima for the benefit of several charitable associations as well as the Student House (Dar Attalib).
Organized from October 31 to November 3 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this sporting event, initiated by the Maghreb Motor Sports Association (AMSA), combines sport and social commitment and aims to promote natural heritage of the Kingdom.
Thus, the director of this 13th edition, Saida Ibrahimi, accompanied by members of AMSA, donated blankets, clothing and basic necessities for the benefit of several poor families and Dar Talib of Goulmima.
This humanitarian initiative intends to strengthen the charitable actions of civil society and assist students in precarious situations in the region and to help them continue their education in favorable conditions, explains to MAP, the secretary general of AMSA, Driss Shukri.
He also noted that the Green March Rally, which should cover around 1,400 km through several cities, sees the participation of around sixty competitors aboard around thirty vehicles.
This Rally, he continued, highlights a glorious epic in Moroccan history, celebrating the 49th anniversary of the Green March.
“This is my first participation in this Rally,” said Siham Bouji, assisted by her co-driver Ouafae Chouati.
While expressing the wish to achieve a good ranking and get on the podium, she highlighted the successful organization of this sporting event, but also and above all the natural diversity and beauty of the landscapes crossed throughout the journey.
The program for this edition includes three stages: the first links the commune of Tit Mellil to the town of Midelt via Azrou, the second takes place between Midelt and Goulmima via the region of Rich, while the third provides for a return to Casablanca with a stopover in Ifrane.
