“Wouter buiten” and anti-Renard banners despite the big victory: the Anderlecht ultras booed by the rest of the supporters! – All football

It was predictable: the Anderlecht ultras did not change their mind regarding the appointment of Olivier Renard because their team largely won. But they were a little alone…

Anderlecht tried to drown out the fish and make any potential protest invisible before the match with a rather strange sound and light show when we received the 14th in the Jupiler Pro League. But despite that, and despite Sporting’s big victory, the ultras have not forgotten Wouter Vandenhaute.

In the second half, when the score was 3-0, banners popped up in Lotto Park. Some were for Olivier Renard, formerly of Standard: “Renard not welcome”, but also songs such as “Renard Standard” or “Standard de m*rde” were on the program. The fact that he is worried about Operation Clean Hands is also a concern in the eyes of some.

But it was of course Wouter Vandenhaute who was also targeted, with a banner recalling his words in 2022: “It can always be worse,” he declared at the time. “Visionary”, ironically says a Mauves Army banner. The president of the RSCA is seen as the main person responsible for the club’s current problems, since he decided to part ways with Vincent Kompany.

However, this behavior of the ultras while their team was playing a very good match and needed support was not appreciated by the rest of the stands, particularly the side stands. As soon as the chants of “Wouter buiten” started again, they were booed copiously.

This is not the first time that the Mauves Army has been targeted by the rest of the Anderlecht public. We remember that during the Clasico, their demonstration of support for the Standard ultras was very badly taken by the other supporters.
