Moroccan Othmane Chadgour won the bronze medal in the 48 kg category at the Junior World Boxing Championships, held from October 20 to November 4 in the city of Budva in Montenegro.

Chadgour won in the round of 16 over the Armenian Vagharshak Keyan unanimously by the judges, to then beat the Puerto Rican Morales Yarel in the round of 16 also unanimously by the judges.

The Moroccan pugilist ousted the Chinese Hu Junhao (4-1) in the quarter-final, before losing in the semi-final to the Azerbaijani Nazarov Bilalhabach (5-0).
