From the first minutes of play, Plougastel had the opportunity to score on a strike from Lionel Hertu (3′). Then, during a massive mix-up in the visiting area, where they took the ball out twice on their line (28′). By dominating, the locals exposed themselves to counterattacks. Mathieu Le Han narrowly missed opening the scoring (29′), but it was only a postponement.

Théo Guillou launched Lucas Le Lann deep, the latter not holding back to open the scoring for the Plouvornéens (32′). Plougastel thought he was back on target, Florian Hertu finding Diego Martins dos Santos in the area but his shot was deflected by the impeccable Aurélien Deniel (43′).

Returning from the locker room, local Alain Crenn, in a good position, found Deniel on target again (53′). As in the first half, the visitors came to punish the locals with a lightning action, where Gaetan Bloch found Mathieu Le Han, who scored his team’s second goal from close range (56′). From then on, the match lost intensity, with Plouvornéens in match management.

Jean-Noël Nonotte, the Plougastel coach, confided after leaving the locker room: “Our lack of concentration cost us dearly, we learned a good lesson in realism.” Christophe Lopes, for his part, underlined: “There are turning points in the championships. These are series that will make us exist. We came up against an opponent who manhandled us, but the boys showed great maturity to overcome it.”
