Next week, Domenico Tedesco will reveal his selection for the matches against Italy and Israel. Many absentees have already been announced.
As during the previous gathering, during which he had to do without Amadou Onana, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku or even Thomas Meunier, Domenico Tedesco will have to make do with absentees during the next international break.
De Bruyne has already made it known that he will skip the final Nations League matches and has not returned to the club anyway. Jérémy Doku is already out for this international break. A boy like Julien Duranville always seems to suffer from relapses. But this Friday evening, a new injury was to be deplored.
Thomas Meunier indeed came out injured at the very end of the match on the LOSC side during the split against Lyon. The Red Devil limped out around the 85th minute and was therefore out when his compatriot Malick Fofana equalized for OL. And according to his coach Pierre Sage, Meunier could be absent for a while.
Indeed, the right back of the Mastiffs would suffer from adductor pain and would therefore now be very uncertain for the Champions League match against Juventus next week.
But by extension, Meunier, who had already passed his turn during the previous international break citing physical overload, could once again miss the Red Devils’ matches to come. Timothy Castagne, not in great form at Fulham, would therefore remain our only professional right-back… unless Tedesco called up a new one.
