Arber the Sheriffexactly. With Tom Wilson, Dylan McIlrath and even Brandon Duhaime, that gave some candidates for possible scuffles. It’s possible that Josh Anderson shouldn’t have taken his gloves off against Wilson, even if he won that fight.
That said, once again, people are starting to wonder about the relationship between Xhekaj and Martin St-Louis. We seem to want to distort it a bit, which makes the game Sheriff much more enigmatic, leading St-Louis to scratch him from the lineup against a team that can play abrasively.
We are entitled to wonder and wonder if the number 72 appears in the blue-white-red window, which, despite everything, has excellent value at the market level. All NHL teams certainly dream of having an Arber Xhekaj in their lineup.
Shau Starr posed a question to Darren Dreger about whether or not Xhekaj was accessible and this is what the quintessential tipster had to say to the question:
“If Kent Hughes ever decided to put Arber Xhekaj on the trade list, there would be several teams interested in Arber Xhekaj. When he masters his game, when he keeps it under control, he can become an extremely influential and impactful player. I think Canadians believe that this is also part of their future.”
So, for the moment, Xhekaj still figures in the blue-white-red’s future plans, which remains excellent news. But, in reality, the organization should agree to deal with its shortcomings and its enormous strengths, without wanting to transform it too much.
