The season already seems to be over for Yusuf Yazici. After twenty minutes of play for his first appearance in his new Olympiakos colors against Asteras (0-1), the former Lille player ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Second time the same knee

The 27-year-old Turkish international had just made his debut when he was injured. Its unavailability will surely last several months. This is the second time that the player has suffered this injury. He had already suffered exactly the same injury in December 2019 while still playing for Lille.

Olympiakos is currently fourth in the Greek championship, three points behind leader Aris Salonika. Free, Yazici joined the Greek club at the end of his contract with Losc this summer. He signed a three-year contract.
