It’s official: Cristiano Ronaldo is included in the list of 26 players called by Roberto Martinez, the Portugal coach, for Euro 2024.
Announced among the big favorites for Euro 2024 after a qualifying campaign without a false note (10 victories in 10 matches), Portugal will present an attractive face this summer in Germany (from June 14 to July 14). Roberto Martinez, who unveiled his list of 26 players on Tuesday, decided to rely on many elements already present during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the Seleçao came up against Morocco in the quarter-finals (0 -1).
Among them, obviously, Cristiano Ronaldo. Although he has been in Saudi Arabia since January 2023, “CR7” continues to pile up the goals in the Al-Nassr jersey and therefore could not miss this meeting which, at 39 years old, could be his last major competition with the national team. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be accompanied in attack by Rafael Leao, Joao Félix, Pedro Neto, Diogo Jota, Francisco Conceiçao and Gonçalo Ramos.

A Gonçalo Ramos who is not the only Paris Saint-Germain player present in Roberto Martinez’s group. The capital club will indeed be well represented since Danilo Pereira and Nuno Mendes, in defense, as well as Vitinha, in midfield, have also been called up. Present in Group F, Portugal will face Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic in the first of Euro 2024.
