Nantes is waiting for 10 ME to sell its striker this winter

Star striker for FC in recent years, Mostafa Mohamed is not a starter this season in the eyes of Antoine Kombouaré. There is little doubt about the departure of the Egyptian international this winter.

Recruited from Galatasaray in 2022 for barely 4 million euros, Mostafa Mohamed has rendered proud services to FC Nantes. Author of 20 goals in the colors of the Canaries, the Egyptian international however no longer has the favor of his coach Antoine Kombouaré. Since the start of the season, the FC Nantes coach has preferred Matthis Abline in particular. The situation cannot last for Mostafa Mohamed, who retains the confidence of his coach with Egypt, but who must quickly find playing time worthy of the name if he wants to keep his place with the Pharaohs.

A departure during the winter transfer window is a real possibility for the player, under contract with Nantes until 2027. According to information from Live Foot, Mostafa Mohamed is making a departure from -Atlantique a priority from month of January. Substitute against Mauritania during this international break, he no longer wants to be satisfied with this situation and asked his agent to find him a new club for the second part of the season.

Mohamed wants to leave Nantes, which demands 10 million euros

For the media, a way out could open in the Premier League, where several clubs were already interested in Mostafa Mohamed last summer, without this however materializing in a transfer. For his part, Waldemar Kita is open to a departure from his 26-year-old striker… but not under any conditions. Despite his new status as a replacement, Mostafa Mohamed will not be sold off by Nantes, which is demanding 10 million euros to part with him. The question now is whether at this price the Canaries will receive offers. If so, this would allow Waldemar Kita to achieve great added value with a player who will have overall been a sporting success, even if he no longer fits into the coach’s plans.
