Still with Kévin Estre, the No. 6 Porsche 963 shared between the Frenchman, Laurens Vanthoor and André Lotterer set the best time in 2’04″125, a reference slightly faster than the 2’04″162 established yesterday in EL2.
Followed by the Ferrari 499P n°51 – Ferrari AF Corse of Alessandro Pier Guidi – Antonio Giovinazzi – James Calado, clocked at 215 thousandths and the Peugeot 9X8 n°93 of Nico Müller and Mikkel Jensen, third at 0.232.
The second Ferrari n°50 – Ferrari AF Corse of Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina (sanctioned with 5′ stop&go for having crossed the white line when leaving the pit lane) took 4th position, 0″249 ahead of the first BMW M Hybrid V8 n°15 – BMW M Team WRT of Raffaele Marciello – Marco Wittmann – Dries Vanthoor, who completes the top 5 three tenths ahead of the two Toyora GR010 Hybrid n°7 (de Vries – Kobayashi – Conway) and n° 8 (Buemi – Hirakawa – Hartley) and the No. 35 Alpine A424 of Jules Gounon, Paul-Loup Chatin and Charles Milesi The gaps are smaller in these FP3 than in the first two sessions, since six tenths separate the first eight.
