Already an “extraordinary” season for the Verts boutique in Saint-Étienne

The AS Saint-Étienne store has just had a record month of April. “It goes beyond what we were able to do for the 90th birthday, or the Christmas period” exclaims Brice Mazenod, the manager of the club shop. For simplicity : online sales are at their highest level in ASSE historyas for sales on the physical site, right next to the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, they reach those of the years 2010-2015, when the Greens competed in the European Cup.

Some jerseys are close to being out of stock

Since the start of the season**, ASSE has sold 20,000 jerseys in stores,** the sale of these flagship items serves as a benchmark in the field. Some are even close to being out of stock: the “third” jersey and the reissue of the vintage “Casino” jersey are victims of their success. The “Allez les Verts” scarf is also selling very well, as are the match scarves.

With the club’s 90th anniversary, this season is already significant, but Brice Mazenod believes that the start of the enthusiasm began around the reception of Concarneau (won 1-0 by the Greens on April 6). Since then, online and on-site sales have multiplied, even outside match days. Sold-out matches bring up to 2,000 people to the shelves.

The Saint-Etienne manager feels the enthusiasm of the supporters while AS Saint-Étienne is playing its way back into Ligue 1. There are still two matches to play for the Greens, who host Rodez this Friday, May 10: the last home match of the season risks further boosting record sales, believes Brice Mazenod.
