Since the arrival of Marc Overmars, Antwerp has managed to attract several young talents. We think in particular of George Ilenikhena or Mandela Keita.

But this summer, things could change a little. Indeed, the Antwerp club is looking for some experienced players. According to information from the Gazet van Antwerpen, Antwerp would notably have Tjaronn Chery in its sights. This 35-year-old Surinamese attacking midfielder has been on loan to NEC Nijmegen since the start of the year.

Since joining the Dutch club, he has a solid record of 5 goals and 2 assists in 15 appearances. This summer he will return to Maccabi Haifa, but may not stay there for long. Indeed, the former QPR player would not want to continue his career in Israel.

400,000 euros

Antwerp could therefore take advantage of the situation to sign Chery this summer. According to Transfermarktthe value of the latter is estimated at 400,000 euros.
