The Olympic flame will enter French soil this Wednesday, 79 days before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Aboard the Belem, the flame will begin its French journey in Marseille. Here are all the times for the arrival of the Olympic flame.
Special day on RMC and BFMTV this Wednesday for an event: the arrival of the Olympic flame on French soil. 79 days before the opening ceremony in Paris, the symbol par excellence of the Olympic Games is currently on board the Belem, which has arrived off the coast of Marseille.
Lighting of the cauldron at 7:44 p.m.
From 11 a.m., the legendary three-masted boat will be joined by 1,024 boats of all sizes, which will accompany it for its parade in the North and South harbor (scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.). The CMA-CGM container ship Greenland will also be in the harbor until the arrival of the Belem this Wednesday evening, with entry into the Old Port scheduled for 7 p.m.
A demonstration by the French patrol will take place from 7:10 p.m., before the torch bearer descends at 7:39 p.m. The lighting of the cauldron is scheduled for 7:44 p.m.
