DAlready a 1-0 winner over PSG in the first leg, Borussia Dortmund was invited to the Champions League final for the first time since 2013 by winning 0-1 at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday. On June 1 at Wembley, the ‘Borussen’ will face the winner of the duel between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

At PSG, Luis Enrique replaced the injured Lucas Hernandez with Lucas Beraldo and preferred Gonçalo Ramos to Bradley Barcola in his attacking trio alongside Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé. On the other hand, Edin Terzic led the team from the first leg.

Playing high, the Sangermanois were very active on the right flank with Dembelé and Achraf Hakimi. The Parisians moved forward but their shots were not dangerous. Opposite, Dortmund turned the ball when they recovered it so that the match did not get out of hand. This plan worked and despite long periods of possession (60%), PSG found no fault. The duel became more open and Gianluigi Donnarumma saved PSG on a strike from Karim Adeyemi, who tumbled into the area (35th).

After the break, PSG started well with a volley on the post from Warren Zaire-Emery (47th) but from a corner, Mats Hummels escaped Beraldo to score his first goal in this Champions League (50th, 0-1) . After having suffered the blow, the Parisians appeared more concrete but a shot from Nuno Mendes hit the post (62nd). Borussia once again benefited from a stroke of luck when Hummels committed a clear foul on Dembélé a few centimeters before the surface (65th). Dortmund then fell back to 5-4-1 with only Niclas Füllkrug in front of the ball. PSG gave everything but Mbappé (86th) and Vitinha (88th) hit the crossbar twice again.
