Jenthe Biermans (Arkea-B&B Hotels) achieved a very good 4th place on the 3rd stage of the Tour of Italy this Monday, the first goes to the sprinters. The Belgian always remained well placed in the last kilometers to be able to finish the stage in the wheel of Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), 2nd. “It was a crazy sprint”
Jenthe Biermans confided after the end of the stage in broken French: “It’s very, very good, I was hoping for a top 10 because at this level you have to have a very, very high level. I’m very happy, the team was good, I was always well placed. It was very hot after the intermediate sprint with the 25 riders who were in front but I remained cool and I am very happy with my sprint.”
The Belgian then explained his sprint: “It was a bit of a crazy finish. You really had to be placed. I took a lot of risks but like all the other sprinters in the end. I was very well placed in the last corner.
