Ajoie has its first success of the season in the National League. Christian Wohlwend’s men unlocked their counter on their eighth try by claiming the scalp of the now ex-leader Kloten (5-2). Lausanne, for its part, confirmed its good form by beating Zug 6-3 and Bienne won against Lugano 5-3.

Beaten in his first seven outings without having scored a single point, Ajoie discovered an unlikely hero in the person of Arno Nussbaumer (2 points). Trained in Zug and passed through La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2023/24, the 22-year-old defender scored the crucial 3-1 in the 36th minute while outnumbered.

This goal cut the wings of the Aviators, who had reduced the score to 2-1 in the 34th while the Latvian striker of Ajoie Emils Veckaktins had received a 5′ penalty – as well as a match misconduct – only 24 seconds earlier.

A spectacular success for Lausanne

In full swing, the Lausannois scored their fourth success in a row by forcing the decision in the third period: Tim Bozon (45th), AnttiSuomela (47th, 5 against 4) and Benjamin Bougro (51st), for his first goal with the LHC, ended up bringing down Zug, who had equalized for the third time of the evening in the 44th, in a very spectacular encounter to follow.

Beaten in its last three outings, Bienne returned to victory against Lugano (5-3). The Zealanders were able to count on a Fabio Hofer on fire: the Austrian winger made the decisive pass on the 2-2 from Gaëtan Haas (30th, 5 against 4), before scoring the 3-2 (33rd). He had already opened the scoring in the 15th.
